WHO ARE THE ITALICS?

The ITALICS are the large and influential global community composed not only of descendants of Italians abroad but also of all those who, without having a drop of Italian blood, are attracted to Italy and have embraced the values, lifestyles, and models of that Italian way of life that is widespread and appreciated across five continents, hybridizing them with the cultures of the countries in which they live.

ITALICS also include young expatriate Italians who create cosmopolitan communities while always maintaining strong ties with their homeland; just as ITALICS are foreigners who move to live in Italy for study or work, but above all for passion.

This great “community of sentiments” of over 250 million people extends and continues to expand from the USA to Argentina and Brazil, from Europe to Canada and Australia, from China to India and Japan.

OUR MISSION

The goal of Schola Italica is to build a network of stable relationships among Italics around the world, including influential men and women who have enriched international culture, science, and entrepreneurship. Many Italics hold top positions in economic, political, and cultural institutions of their countries and constitute a great asset to be valued and connected.

Schola Italica, intended as a “web platform,” is the meeting place, participation and exchange hub, and information and training center of the “Italica Global Community,” a “transnational intellectual alliance” comparable to the Anglo-Saxon Commonwealth, the Communauté française or the Hispanidad.

To facilitate connections among Italics living across five continents, Schola Italica connects Italic communities and networks together the individuals and projects that best represent them.
